10am - 4pm  Boats 'n' Bikes, to Buggies 'n' Buses
  Visit the display at the Historical Museum relating to transportation in the early days. There with be opportunities to have your photo taken with the "Gig", and with the bikes (Penny farthings). There will be mini tours throughout Sunday 17th March as well as story telling.

2pm  Development of The Safety Bicycle
  A presentation by Arthur Harsant on the history of the bicycle, from the earliest "dandy-horse" and velocipede "bone-shakers", up to the modern safety bicycle that provided transport for the masses and is still the most universal transport option around the world. On show will be several vintage machines, including a "penny farthing" and a 1917 Hauraki Bike built right here in Thames. Readings from the Vintage Ladies Poetry Group will open this event.

  Ride a Train
  Have a ride on the small-gauge train running on Sunday. The children will love to ride on these miniature trains, as will the grownups!!

  St. Georges Anglican Church
  Visit this beautiful church which opened in 1872. Its magnificent architecture is based on Gothic stone European style.

10am - 11am  Thames Union Parish - Heritage Service
  All welcome to attend a heritage church service by Rev Peter Bristow, for Thames Heritage Week. Reaching back into some of the traditions of the Church - using the King James Bible and singing historic hymns. Heritage 'Dress up' welcome.
