  Boats 'n' Bikes, to Buggies 'n' Buses
  Visit this display on transportation in the early days - horse & gig, bicycle, trains & boats. You can have your photo taken on the "Gig". Also on display is the 150-year history of Thames Hospital, The A&G Price Story, and the Ted Egan Exhibition of models of old Thames buildings made from Kauri. The Museum is open from 10.00am until 4.00pm.

9:30am - 2:30pm  Heritage Painting Workshops For SCHOOLS
  A chance for school children to learn the art of paint making by Wellington artist Barry Thomas and his son Max (fine arts graduate). They will take you through the process from crushing the clay to creating your very own masterpiece. The theme is "Transportation" and you are encouraged to dress in heritage costume. Prizes will be given each day : Booking essential, so telephone the School of Mines now.
